Project Origin\u2019s relationship with Elkin Guzman of El Mirador in Colombia is extremely productive and we are expecting great things in the future from Elkin.<\/p>\n<p>Hugh was coached by the current Australian &amp; World Barista Champion (&amp; Project Origin\u2019s bean hunter) Sasa Sestic. After months of tireless preparation &amp; training, Hugh\u2019s presentation focussed on the importance of the overall coffee experience, from origin to cup ; a winning combination.<\/p>\n<p>ONA Coffee also had two other finalists at the Australian Barista Competition, including the previous Head Barista from ONA\u2019s The Cupping Room and current Project Origin Assistant, Yanina Ferreyra, who came in fifth place.<\/p>\n<p>Hugh came 8th in the World Barista Competition 2016, representing Australia, in Dublin Ireland in June 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The Colombia El Mirador freezer processed Castillo will be available through Project Origin in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact <a href=\"http:\/\/habib@onacoffee.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">habib@onacoffee.com.au <\/a>for details.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ONA Coffee\u2019s Head Trainer, Hugh Kelly, competed at the ASCA\u00a0Australian Barista Championship at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo\u00a0in March 2016, taking the national title.
