The more Ethiopian coffee farms and washing stations Project Origin visits, the more we come to realise the signature Ethiopian look is a signature for a reason – rainbow colours across the land, rainbow colours of the coffee cherries, multiple rows of raised drying beds and lush mountainous hills that house hundreds of varieties of wild grown coffee trees. The Idido washing station hosts long stacks of drying beds made from bamboo covered in plastic, mesh and wire to support the green coffee beans as they dry in the temperate Ethiopian sun.
