Coffee trees planted in rows at La Fantasia farm in Cauca region of Colombia

Colombia has the Andes mountains running directly through it, creating a topography of diverse growing conditions across the country. The result is a climate that produces two harvests per year, making it perfect for sourcing fresh coffees all year round, as well as a vast array of regions and flavours, from citrus to berries to florals and chocolate, all from one origin.

Harvest

Colombia has two harvesting periods each year. In the Huila region the early harvest, mitaca, is from April to July and the main harvest is September to December. In the Nariño and Cauca regions the mitaca is from October to January and the main harvest is from April to July. Coffees will typically ship from each origin about 3-4 months after the harvest begins.
