The Jimi Valley wet mill is located in the Jiwaka province of PNG sitting among the foothills of Mount Wilhelm. The development of healthy, high quality coffee cherries is boosted by the rich volcanic soils and the Waghi River supplies water to support the local agricultural industry. The Jimi Valley region operates in a similar manner to much of South-East Asian coffee production, where a collection of smallholders and block holders bring cherries from their “garden” to the local wet mill to be combined into larger lots for processing.
