Los Rodriguez

Finca Los Rodriguez has been experimenting with growing specialty coffee in a region not traditionally known for coffee production. Because of this, Los Rodriguez is growing over sixty varieties from all over the world in an effort to see which varieties grow best under the microclimate conditions that evolve there. In order to stay organised with so many varieties, the producers use the lemon and tangerine trees on the farm to separate lots and sell the fruit to the local markets. The land has been kept with over 30% of its natural reserve and the work at the farm employs 200-500 pickers each harvest. Project Origin are drawn to not only the beautiful views and the tasty coffees, but to this focus on the natural environment and the social care that simply radiates from Los Rodriguez.
