Ermera

Home to “Kafe Inan”, Ermera is where the world’s first rust resistant coffee varietal was identified. Hibrido de Timor is known for its smooth velvety mouthfeel and was produced by a natural mutation that married the qualities of both arabica and robusta coffee species. Our partner farmers have worked with us for three years on harvest, rehabilitation and farm management. The coffees from these farms have repeatedly won awards at Timor-Leste’s National Coffee Quality Competition and in 2021 they placed second overall with an anaerobic natural process. Our partnership through Orijem Timor is generating some stand out coffees, and Project Origin are thrilled to showcase the work from the farmers at Ermera.
